I work with children, young people, adults, and families. My practice is rooted in Black communities and shaped by a commitment to social and racial justice. That rootedness shapes how I understand the world you move in, but I welcome anyone, regardless of race, heritage, cultural background, class, gender, sexual orientation, faith, neurodivergence, immigration status, or other intersecting identities.

My practice is rooted in Black communities and shaped by a commitment to social and racial justice, and that shapes how I see the world and the work. You don’t need to share my starting point or have it all worked out. What matters is a willingness to be honest, and to look at yourself and the world you live in.
The best way to find out if we’re a good fit is to have an initial conversation. I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation for all new enquiries; a chance for us both to get a sense of whether working together feels right. There’s no obligation.

That depends entirely on what you’re bringing and what you need. Some people come for a focused piece of work over a few months, others find longer-term therapy more useful. We would review regularly and decide together.

My standard fee is £120 per session for psychotherapy, individual supervision, and leadership alongside, and £180 for EMDR.
Yes - I offer a sliding scale, because I believe what you can pay shouldn’t determine whether you can access support. I also offer a limited number of free therapy slots prioritised for Black young people. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch and we can have an honest conversation about what is possible.
Payment is by bank transfer ahead of each session.

Everything we discuss is strictly confidential. The only person I discuss your work with is my clinical supervisor, and that forum is also confidential. This structure matters because it gives you the space to speak freely. The only exception and circumstance in which I’d need to break confidentiality would be if there was a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s, and this would always be discussed with you.

Therapy doesn’t always feel like progress in a straight line, sometimes things feel harder before they feel clearer. But useful signs include feeling more able to name and understand your experience, noticing patterns you couldn’t see before, and feeling more able to make choices rather than simply react. The relationship between us matters too; if you feel heard, safe, and held, those are the conditions in which change becomes possible. We would review our work together regularly, and you can always raise how the therapy feels at any point. There are no wrong questions.

The most important thing isn’t the method or the qualifications. It’s whether you feel like you can be honest; not performing okayness, not managing how you come across. A good therapist holds you without needing you to be fine.
You might feel uncomfortable, that’s often the work. But discomfort is different from feeling unsafe, unseen, or judged. If you consistently leave sessions feeling worse about yourself rather than more understood, that’s worth paying attention to.
And find someone who understands the world you move in. Not just clinically, but culturally and structurally. The weight of navigating systems that weren’t designed for you is real. A therapist who treats that as peripheral to the “real” work will only take you so far.

Coaching typically focuses on performance, goals, and forward momentum. Leadership Alongside goes deeper, it draws on psychodynamic thinking to explore the patterns, histories, and relational dynamics that shape how you lead, as well as practical tips. It’s as much about who you are as what you do. And it’s grounded in lived experience of building, leading, collaborating, and closing an organisation, rather than a coaching framework.

Yes. I receive regular clinical supervision as required by my professional registrations. Supervision is how I maintain the quality and safety of my practice, and it’s something I believe in deeply, which is also why I offer it to others.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged in full, as the time is reserved for you. I understand emergencies happen, and I’ll always take individual circumstances into account.

Staff wellbeing spaces, healing circles, and therapy for Black staff are only available as part of a wider organisational engagement, not as a standalone offer. Offering these without accompanying organisational change risks locating the problem and the solution in individuals, something I actively work to resist and disrupt. Therapy for individuals and families is available through my therapy practice. Please visit the Psychotherapy page or get in touch to find out more.
